R E A L W E D D I N G || A CHRISTMAS AFFAIR

 We couldn't contain our excitement when Elizabeth + Hughes came into our Big Events office asking for planning help on their [12.17.16] Christmas wedding in Nashville! After the first meeting, we gathered that beautiful flowers, food, wine and good music were the wedding planning "must-haves."

We also gathered that these two laid-back love birds would be a J O Y  to work with...and they absolutely were.

First...Elizabeth's flowers...SWOON.

She chose such a BEAUTIFUL color pallete for a winter wedding, Martha was in heaven when she saw these ruby peonies open up in our floral showroom.  The bouquets were perfectly paired with the gemstone bridesmaid dresses from Amsale.

After they said "I DO" at First Presbyterian in Nashville, the Tipton's headed to their reception at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts .  Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers from Kristen Winston + cocktails in celebration of the recently wed.  Their AMAZING caramel fudge cake was a focal point during cocktail hour + created by the fabulous Leland Riggan of Dessert Designs, she really outdid herself on this one and we loved mixing up the traditional white wedding cake.

After cocktail hour, guests moved into the Auditorium for their seated dinner + special dances.  The entire room design was basically based on the beautiful flowers.  We picked very neutral [white + light grey] linens from BBJ Linens + Gold [art deco] chairs from Classic Party Rental to really allow the flowers to pop on the tables!

The overall design goal was for the room to feel very intimate and romantic for E + H.  So we added a ton of candle lighting + installed a greenery wreath to an already beautiful fixture, brought in by Bright Event Productions.  We also wanted to incorporate small details that packed a punch: like these FABULOUS monogram linens on the wedding party tables that were a beautiful gift to the bride + groom the week of the wedding!

The dinner by Kristen Winston was AMAZING, who doesn't enjoy a perfectly cooked filet on a cold winter day?

After dinner the two danced the night away with their guests to music by Number One Party Band while banana pudding + wedding cake was served to those with a sweet tooth.

The night was truly perfect + we were so thrilled to help create their dream day...none of us wanted to leave but when the time came

SANTA arrived to walk the Tiptons down for their "grand exit"...WHAT a wedding day!

A special thank you to Rachel Moore for beautifully capturing their day.

   Lots of love to the Tiptons!
